Bengaluru: Nikita Singhania, the estranged wife of Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash who died of suicide alleging harassment by his marital partner, had alleged that her spouse and his family demanded a dowry of Rs.

Bengaluru-based techie Atul Subhash's wife Nikita's complaint which was filed in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur was regarding harassment and assault for dowry. The complaint further mentions Ms Singhania saying that the 34-year-old techie treated their marital relationship "like a beast" while his family's constant demand for dowry resulted in her father's stroke and death.

Subhash's body was found hanging at his residence in the Manjunath Layout area, which falls under the Marathahalli police station limits
