After far too long, Ford is back with an Android smartwatch app. FordPass now supports Wear OS, giving users an option beyond phone control. Wear OS support quietly rolled out last month, and should be available now for compatible vehicles.

Now, Ford has finally launched a Wear OS app, with FordPass now being available on the platform. The new app quietly debuted in November and is available for download from the Play Store, allows for drivers to send “remote commands” to their vehicle as well as seeing information such as battery status on EVs, or parking location.

After a slow, gradual rollout of Wear OS 5 to its Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 5 models, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Watch 4 is now also receiving the free upgrade, as One UI 6 Watch rolls out to users.
