The U.S. expanded steadily in November, but hiring was subdued and inflation was still a nagging problem in some parts of the economy, a new Federal Reserve survey found.

Economic activity in the U.S. rose slightly across most of the Federal Reserve's 12 districts since late October, the central bank said in its latest Beige Book report. That compared with the little changed economic activity across all districts in the previous Beige Book.
