Right on schedule, heavy lake effect snow and accompanying blowing snow and blinding conditions arrived across areas mainly south of Buffalo overnight and early Thursday

Marton said while only a few inches are expected to fall in South Buffalo, city crews are prepared for significantly more if the band shifts further north.

The latest round of lake effect snow is set to impact Western New York, and while officials in the City of Buffalo don’t expect much of an impact, they are ready for whatever might be heading their way.
