A man is dead after he was hit by a car in South Memphis Wednesday afternoon, according to reports. The Memphis Police Department responded to the incident on East Mallory Avenue and Latham Street. Witnesses on the scene say the man was hit by a car while crossing the street.

Officers responded to the intersection of Azle Avenue and Ephriham Avenue, where they found a victim who was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
